Product Hunt plays gallery videos from YouTube, so you add a link rather than a file. Use the full YouTube address, not a shortened one, and do not set the video to private, or it will not load.
How long should a Product Hunt video be?
Short. Visitors see many launches that day, so a 30-second film that shows the product early asks less of them than a long tour. A full demo can live on your own site.
Can I make it before the product is public?
Yes. Describe the product in a few lines instead of giving a website, and add screenshots if you have them. Films stay private until you share or publish them.
Can I use the cuts to promote the launch?
